DAY 1 – HOME PORT TO HOBART
Arriving in Hobart today under your own arrangements (Please arrive prior to 2pm) You will be met by our friendly local Coach Captain at the airport and enjoy a city sites tour from the comfort of our coach. We then enjoy our welcome dinner getting to know your fellow traverlers. (D) Overnight Hobart IBIS Styles
DAY 2 – PORT ARTHUR
Across the Tasman Bridge and then travel on through Sorell and the fishing villages of Dunalley and Eaglehawk Neck. Upon arrival in Port Arthur we will be met by our tour guide and cruise the Harbour. While on our cruise we will have a tour of the Isle of the Dead, Port Arthur’s island burial ground. We will then return to the mainland and have a guided walk and listen to a talk on the history of this penal colony. Departing we will travel on, stopping at the Blowhole, Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. (B,D) Overnight Hobart IBIS Styles
DAY 3 – DERWENT BRIDGE, QUEENSTOWN, WALL IN THE WILDERNESS
Today we visit New Norfolk and Derwent Bridge where we see the amazing Wall in the Wilderness. The beautifully carved works set out in relief sculpture depict the history, hardship and perseverance of the people in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. Continuing on to Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. This area is home to spectacular lakes and mountain areas. From the pristine beauty of the national park we will make our way to Queenstown. This is a journey quite like no other. As you make the steep descent the scenery changes from luscious greenery to a moon-like landscape.

DAY 4 – GORDON RIVER CRUISE STRAHAN
Following breakfast we will make our way to Strahan to enjoy our Gordon River Cruise. While on our cruise we will stop at Sarah Island for a guided tour. The convict colony on Sarah Island housed convicts decades before Port Arthur. The cruise will take us through the Heritage-listed South West Wilderness National Park and the beautiful Gordon River enjoying a delicious buffet luncheon while cruising on the river. When we return to Strahan we will board our coach and make our way back to Queenstown in time for dinner.

DAY 5 – CRADLE MOUNTAIN, STANLEY, SMITHTON
Today we travel to the world renowned Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain. The park is one of the state’s most special places. We will be met by our local guide and travel by coach through the area. Then making our way to Stanley. (B,L,D) Overnight Stanley Seaview Inn
DAY 6 – NORTH WEST COAST, LAUNCESTON
This morning we will make our way to Devonport and on to Sheffield a town of 34 painted murals. For those of you chocolate lovers today you will have another chance to enjoy some at the House of Anvers – Belgium Chocolate Heaven! For those of you with a more savoury taste, you won’t miss out either as we will travel on to visit Ashgrove Cheese. We then visit the museum at Pearn’s Steam World. Their collection has over 200 major items. We will then continue on to Launceston and visit Cataract Gorge. (B,D) Overnight Launceston Commodore Regent
DAY 7 – LAUNCESTON, TAMAR VALLEY
This morning we will explore the city of Launceston, including a stop at the Waverley Woollen Mills and Grindelwald. This little village is a great spot to grab those last minute souvenirs. We then enjoy our Tamar River Cruise. We cruise along Launceston’s riverfront precinct and north past Tamar Island where we view the historical buildings, St Matthias Church and the Rosevears Pub. While enjoying afternoon tea, we watch the scenery change from vineyards and farms and pass through Rosevears and Windermere districts.

DAY 8 – BEAUTY POINT, BATMAN BRIDGE LEGERWOOD, ST HELENS
Travelling to Beauty Point this morning we arrive at Platypus House for a visit. Then making our way over the famous Batman A Frame Bridge, we continue on to Pipers Brooke Winery and enjoy our lunch. Take in the magnificent ocean views as you enjoy driving through the vines to arrive at the architecturally acclaimed winery building. We make our way to Legerwood to visit the amazing Carved Memorial Trees. The trees are sculpted into WWI soldiers to honour their memory. Arriving into the seaside town of St Helens.

DAY 9 –BICHENO, COLES BAY FRIENDLY BEACHES FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK
This morning we depart for Bicheno, the jewel of the East Coast. Also included in this day of discovery is Tasmania’s first national park, Freycinet and it’s also the most spectacular. Once there, you will be mesmerised by the park’s spectacular cliff-top lookouts and especially the iconic Wineglass Bay. Following lunch at the beautiful Coles Bay, we make our way to Cape Tourville for the spectacular ocean views and the Lighthouse.

DAY 10 – SWANSEA, RICHMOND ARRIVE HOBART
Today we continue to make our way along the coast to Rock Hills and into Triabunna . Triabunna is a scenic port-side town and the gateway to the natural wonders. The town sits at the doorstep of some of Tasmania’s most beautiful places. We visit the Tasmanian Seafarers Memorial which provides an insight into the area’s maritime past. We then continue on to Richmond. The Richmond Bridge, was built by convicts in the 1820s and is Australia’s oldest known large stone arch bridge. (B,D) Overnight Hobart IBIS Styles
DAY 11 – Mount Wellington, Depart Hobart
The drive to the Mt Wellington summit passes through temperate rainforest to sub-alpine flora and glacial rock formations, ending in panoramic views of Hobart, Bruny Island, South Arm and the Tasman Peninsula. No other city in Australia has a vista like this one and is truly spectacular. It is a fitting way to end our tour as we make our way to the airport for your flight home with wonderful memories of Total Tasmania.
