Today we discover the sights, stories and fascinating history of Darwin on a guided city tour.
Many visitors are unaware of Darwin’s significant role during World War II. As we explore the city, we will learn about the devastating Bombing of Darwin and discover how these historic events shaped the city we see today.
Established in 1869, Darwin retains several important historic landmarks, including the Old Court House and Government House. We will also explore the city’s modern attractions and gain an insight into life in Australia’s tropical northern capital.
Later this afternoon, we visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service Darwin Tourist Facility at Stokes Hill Wharf. Through interactive displays and fascinating stories, we learn about two important chapters in Australian history—the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Bombing of Darwin.
This evening, we board a relaxing Darwin Harbour Sunset Dinner Cruise. Enjoy dinner while taking in the beautiful colours of a Top End sunset, a memorable way to begin our Northern Territory adventure.

Leaving Darwin behind, we travel towards the magnificent World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park.
Our first experience is the thrilling Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River. Keep your camera ready as powerful saltwater crocodiles launch themselves from the water, offering an unforgettable close-up encounter with one of Australia’s most impressive predators.
Continuing into Kakadu National Park, we visit Ubirr, home to some of the region’s most significant and beautifully preserved Aboriginal rock art. These ancient galleries provide a remarkable insight into thousands of years of Indigenous culture, traditions and connection to Country. Some paintings also depict early encounters between Aboriginal people and non-Indigenous visitors.
Late this afternoon, we arrive at Cooinda and settle into our accommodation in the heart of Kakadu National Park.

Today is dedicated to discovering the ancient landscapes, rich Indigenous culture and remarkable wildlife of Kakadu National Park.
We begin at Burrungkuy, formerly known as Nourlangie Rock, where ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries share important stories relating to traditional laws, ceremonies, cultural beliefs and connection to the land.
Following lunch at the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel in Jabiru, we visit the Bowali Visitor Centre and Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Through informative exhibitions and displays, we gain a deeper understanding of Kakadu’s Traditional Owners, their culture and their enduring relationship with Country.
This afternoon, we experience one of the highlights of our Top End tour—a spectacular Yellow Water Billabong Cruise.
Travelling aboard a specially designed vessel, we glide through tranquil wetlands surrounded by paperbark forests, floodplains and abundant birdlife. Keep watch for wild horses, buffalo and saltwater crocodiles as the afternoon light transforms the landscape.

Today we farewell Kakadu National Park and begin our journey back to Darwin.
Along the way, we visit the peaceful Adelaide River War Cemetery, the only Australian war cemetery on Australian soil. The cemetery is the final resting place of 432 service personnel and 63 civilians who lost their lives as a result of the Japanese bombing raids and other wartime service in northern Australia.
Following lunch, we continue to Darwin and check into our accommodation for the final two nights of our tour.
Late this afternoon, we visit the famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market, one of Darwin’s most popular cultural and social experiences. Explore more than 200 stalls featuring local arts, crafts and entertainment, along with an incredible selection of international cuisine reflecting Darwin’s vibrant multicultural community.
Choose your favourite dish from almost 60 food stalls before relaxing on Mindil Beach and watching another spectacular Top End sunset.

Today we travel south from Darwin to explore the natural wonders of Litchfield National Park.
Covering approximately 65,000 hectares, Litchfield is renowned for its monsoon rainforests, spectacular waterfalls, natural swimming holes and dramatic landscapes. Often described as one of the jewels of the Northern Territory, the park is a highlight of any Top End holiday.
During our visit, we explore the beautiful Wangi Falls and Florence Falls, surrounded by lush tropical scenery. We also view the fascinating Magnetic Termite Mounds, naturally aligned from north to south to regulate temperature within the structures.
After a wonderful day experiencing the scenery and natural beauty of Litchfield National Park, sit back and relax as we return to Darwin for our final evening together.
This evening, we gather for a memorable farewell dinner at Seafood on Cullen, one of Darwin’s favourite waterfront restaurants. Enjoy a delicious meal showcasing the region’s renowned fresh seafood and local flavours while reflecting on the incredible experiences, spectacular landscapes and lasting friendships made throughout our unforgettable Top End adventure.

Following breakfast, our memorable Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield National Park tour comes to an end.
Guests will be transferred to Darwin Airport for their onward journey or to Darwin Railway Station to board The Ghan (please enquire for adding a Ghan reservation) for an unforgettable southbound rail journey through Alice Springs to Adelaide.
We farewell the Top End with wonderful memories of ancient Aboriginal culture, remarkable wildlife, spectacular national parks and unforgettable Northern Territory sunsets.
